This handsome boy was a TON OF FUN today! Tugboat was easy to leash up and walk (see video); playful in the yard; knows “sit” (see video); treat motivated and took them gently; may jump when excited but redirected easily; may be a holder; a curious, dashing guy, with a fun energy level!

-60 lbs, but thinks he`s a lapdog
-playful, affectionate, active
-dog-friendly (loves playing and great body language)
-curious of other dogs in passing
-most likely housetrained and crate-trained (walked right in and settled without barking)
-loves running and hiking, comes on strong at first but settles into walk nicely
-would thrive in a structured home to fine-tune his basic manners
-knows `sit,` working on `stay`
-took treats gently

If you are looking for a new pet, Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Services shelter has a wide variety of animals to adopt; from dogs and cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, to the occasional snake and pot-bellied pigs. The shelter also has two specially designed bonding areas for people to interact and play with the animals they are considering for adoption.
