My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ANGIE & SMOOCHIES we're recently retired from a life of breeding on an Amish farm. They are super, super friendly. They love children as the kids were their caretakers. Great with other animals – dogs, cats and are familiar at least with dairy cows and horses. Smoochies And Angie are seven years old - Unrelated, but have lived most of their lives together and are attached. We realize it's difficult one dog who has never lived in a house before and two maybe overwhelming but, if it all possible, we would love to keep these two together. They are not housebroken. They had a bad case of intestinal worms when they came in but now that is under control, they are making some progress. Both have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped And tested negative for heartworm and tick borne diseases. As with most pugs, they have crappy teeth and will need a dental in the future. Adoption $250 for an individual Pug, $400 if you are the angel who can take a pair. Please fill out our adoption application at www.Companimals.org. Pug or puppy mill dog experience a plus. Home visit will be a part of the adoption process. Excellent Vet references a must.

Go meet their pets

Our shelter has visiting hours - Wed through Sat from noon 'til 5 p.m. You're welcome anytime we're open.
Most our our dogs live in foster homes, and will likely not be at the shelter unless arrangements are made ahead of time.
We do hold monthly "Meet and Greets" at local pet stores, but here, as well, to meet a specific dog arrangements should be made in advance so that
your potential new best friend can be there waiting to meet you.

CompAnimals Pet Rescue is a small not-for-profit "no kill" rescue. Our mission is to take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, cats and other small pets; to place those we can in loving, permanent homes; and to provide a sanctuary for the animals whose age, health issues or temperament precludes them from adoption. Our dogs & cats are neutered, vaccinated and receive all necessary medical treatment beford being made available for adoption. Through our volunteers and outreach programs we educate the next generation about the importance of spay/neuter and giving a lifelong home to their pets. We hope to one day put ourselves out of business but until then we will continue to rescue regardless of breed, age or medical condition.
