Volcano is erupting with good boy qualities! His manners are just as exquisite as his handsome mug. He knows all the commands and really knows how to make the best first impression. Volcano absorbs love and attention. It is hard to believe anyone could leave him behind but that is just what happened. His family moved out and left him in the apartment to fend for himself. Thankfully there were neighbors that didn't let him suffer and brought him to us. Volcano is looking for a better family. He really deserves the world.
Came in as an abandoned confiscate on 9/24/24
Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL
Email visitcacc@cityofchicago.org for more information.
The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.
All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.
Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
