Meet Pico!
Pico arrived with us with 6 siblings. They came from a home where mom had an accidental litter but the owner had no finances to feed her or the babies. When the pups arrived with us they were extremely malnourished. Their bellies were extended from eating pure corn kernels, the only food they had been able to access. All of the pups were very ill with Parvo, a serious disease that often kills puppies. One sibling passed away but thankfully we were able to save the others with intensive care in the hospital. They are now all doing well and are finally healthy and getting stronger. Their illness is now behind them and they will have no lasting effects.
All of the pups in this litter are friendly little ones. They have great temperaments and are well socialized. They like kids, cats and other dogs so they can fit in most anywhere. Of course they are just babies still and require careful training and socialization to ensure they continue to grown into good canine citizens as adults.
We're not quite sure what their breed mix is. Mom was a small chihuahua type dog, mixed with a few other breeds we can't quite identify. The pups will remain quite small. They are playful and fun.
They are ready to find their forever homes now so please send in an application to savinggreatanimals.org. We review applications in the order they are received.
