My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Personality: Initially shy but active and cheerful.
Interaction with Women: Quickly becomes friendly.
Interaction with Men: Quickly becomes friendly.
Interaction with Children: Likes children.
Interaction with Other Dogs: Curious and wants to greet other dogs. Dislikes being mounted or overly playful dogs.
Interaction with Cats: No experience.
Potty Training: Currently being trained to go outside; does not want to go inside.
Crate Training: In progress. Always eats in the crate.
Energy Level: High. Enjoys tug-of-war, ball play, and nose work, and plays well with people as well as alone with toys.
Handling: Dislikes being picked up or handled when not fully comfortable, but is okay with it once a bond is formed.
Barking Tendencies: May run away or bark if there are sudden loud noises or unfamiliar people approaching, but does not excessively bark.
Escape Tendencies: None.
Appetite Issues: None.
Walking with a Collar: Does well.
Reactive to People or Dogs: Very curious about everything; shows interest in passing people and dogs during walks.
Car Behavior: Rides well in the car.
Destructive Behavior: Does not destroy things if there are chew toys available, but may play with interesting objects on the floor since she is still a puppy.
Needs a House with a Yard: Would be nice, but currently living in an apartment and expending energy through walks and playdates is fine too.
Needs to Live with Other Dogs: It would be good to have a lively friend of similar size rather than an older or small dog.
Can Live in an Apartment: Yes, currently living in an apartment.
Rescue Story: Didi was found abandoned in a bag with her eight siblings when they were just babies and couldn't even open their eyes. Fortunately, they met a kind rescuer and are growing up loved in foster homes. Didi is one of them, and we hope she finds a good family and a happy life.

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized. Therefore, we cannot provide the "meet and greet." Multiple video clips will be provided, and we will help you walk through the steps to reassure the adopted dog and the adopter are the best match for each other. Some dogs are available for meet and greet if the dogs are fostered in the US.

More about this rescue

WELCOME PAWS: KOREAN DOG RESCUE is an all-volunteer and animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected and abused animals, high kill city sheltered animals and dog meat trade animals in South Korea. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes deworming, vaccinations and spaying/neutering prior to their adoption.
