My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A SWEET & FUN FELLOW:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 28 lbs.

Hello – I’m Ryan!  I was so glad that Mostly Mutts was able to rescue me from animal control.  I am soaking up all the love and care from the volunteers, and now they say I am ready to meet my new family!  Such great news, and – I’m ready!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a dog already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers describe me as ‘a handsome little fun and friendly pup’.  I’m inquisitive and curious about my surroundings.  I will charm you with my expressive eyes and sweet nature.  According to the folks that spend time with me, I am a pretty chill guy with a  sometimes ‘Zen/cool vibe’ but I also like being active with them too. / Energy level: 5-7.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program and can't wait to learn lots of new skills with my trainer! I’ll also be polishing my leash skills, as I do pull, as I am an enthusiastic walk at times/other times I walk rather well on my leash.  Check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've only had a few accidents on the shelter schedule so hopefully that will translate to easy to master in my new home once I learn the routine.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  Let’s take lots of walks together, because I love to use my sniffer to check out my world.  I’m somewhat interested in playing with toys, so maybe  we can pick some out together. I also enjoy mealtime and am food motivated – yum! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I have mild tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.

I am looking for a home where I will be a much-loved pup!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

You may also call our phone line, 770-272-6888 or email adopt@mostlymutts.org with specific questions about any of our adoptable animals. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
