My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A WONDERFUL YOUNG GIRL:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 39 lbs.

Hello, my name’s Vivi!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and I’m soaking up all the love and good care I’m receiving here.  It’s now time for me to soak up all the love that awaits me in my new furever home.  Come meet me soon, furever family!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and although I am fine being around them, I will snap if they get in my face.  I should be your only dog, please.  / Cats unknown. / I recently met kids at Mostly Mutts (age 10+), and I liked them. I was a tad jumpy, so best no toddlers that I may bump over, and – of course, let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a fun and friendly girl who is as sweet as I am stunning!  A real sweetheart who even serenaded my bather with a Husky type song during my shelter bath.  You will hear my beautiful vocal stylings whenever I am very excited or feeling quite joyful.  I also lifted my paws up for her so she could rinse them easily. Smart and very focused, I think I’ll impress you with my intelligence.  I am calm, sweet and playful girl and look forward to being a great companion to a lucky family. / My energy level is 5-7.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and should be a graduate very soon.  I have already mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty manners have been good in the prison/foster training program, and I have been alerting them when I need to go outside.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I’m an affectionate girl who loves getting and giving love from people.  I will freely give you kisses.  I’m always happy when the volunteers bring out the toys – especially a tennis ball for a great game of fetch – my favorite.  I also like a nice Nylabone to chew on, especially the wishbone shape.  / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.

I am looking for a wonderful home with a great family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

You may also call our phone line, 770-272-6888 or email adopt@mostlymutts.org with specific questions about any of our adoptable animals. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
