Dog's Name: Babe Addie (ADD1024TAZVA)
Estimated Breed: Lab mix
Approximate Age: 14 weeks
Approximate Weight: 20 LBS
Currently Living at: Foster
Adoption Fee: $500
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Babe Addie! Addie came to us from an overcrowded shelter in Tazewell, Virginia. Addie has landed herself a nice foster home, but what she really wants is to find her forever home. Could that be with you? Addie is a little shy but warms up quickly and then loves to be right by your side. She does well in her crate too. As you can see, she also does amazing with other dogs. At her young age, Addie is in her prime for training and socialization. With her sweet and gentle nature she will make a wonderful addition to almost any home. Fill out an application today and meet Addie – you're not just getting a pet; you're giving a second chance to a deserving girl!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
