My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Madison, a sweet 1.5 year old Retriever mix who is 55 pounds. She is making great strides with her house training. Her crate is her safe space, and she loves spending time in it, but she also enjoys hanging out in the yard or indoors, playing with her canine pals or favorite toys. Madison is shy and timid at first spending most of her time in her crate or another room, but her playful and loyal nature quickly shines through once she feels secure.

She's adaptable and, although she hasn’t been around small kids, her foster mom believes she'd do well in a family environment due to her gentle demeanor. Madison can get spooked by sudden noises or new situations, but when she does, she just runs to her crate for a moment of comfort before bouncing back. Because of this, a fenced yard is required to keep her feel safe while exploring the outdoors. Caution will need to be taken around doorways and gates.

Her foster mom shares, "Once Madision feels safe, she likes to be by your side. She loves pets and snuggling, and will make a fantastic companion for a loving home."

Madison would thrive in a home with patient people who can help her continue building confidence and provide plenty of love. Could she be the perfect match for your family? Her adoption fee is $295  plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
