My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rodger and Lola!

These two buns rival even the greatest love stories. They absolutely adore each other and are constantly joined at the hip. They are both super sweet and social bunnies and will come running to greet you for pets (and/or food!). They're looking for an amazing home together where they'll have plenty of space to run around and lounge the day away. They are excellent at using their litter box and would be great candidates as free-roam rabbits.

If you think you can give Rodger and Lola the loving forever home they've been waiting for, please contact the Shuswap branch Tues-Sun 12:00-4:00pm at (250)832-7376, or by email at shuswap@spca.bc.ca!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
