Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The owners of this beautiful beagle abandonned her at the SPCA because she was too active. They purchased her from a pet store without understanding the implications of this type of breed. They left her in a cage for up to 9 hours a day and never took her out for a walk ;( and then didn't understand why she was always full of energy and quite restless.
Her owners were kind enough to sterilise her as well as bring her to obedience school. They also provided us with some information about her behavior which will greatly aid us in getting her adopted. This is a quick resume of the information they provided:she doesn't bark excessively, she doesn't chew anything in the home, she doesn't seem to dig holes in the yard (but most likely because she was not allowed to go in the yard), she doesn't bite in play or bite in defence. She doesn't fight with other dogs or gets carsick. She does seem to run away at times and attack small animals such as birds in perfect beagle style.
This darling is looking for a great family who is ready to take her running around the neighborhood, sniffing trails and enjoying the outdoor life.
