My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Derby is a staff favorite at Fresno Humane. She was found as a nursing mama in Reedly. She was a stray with two newborn puppies and desperately needed our help. After her puppies were weened, both were adopted by the same loving family.

Derby has been waiting to be adopted since October 2024. She has had a few meet and greets, but nobody has chosen her yet. Derby is 2-year-old German Shepherd with an outgoing personality. She enjoys playing with toys; going on walks; and spending time with staff and her doggy friends.

Derby’s ideal home: Derby is a medium energy dog. She will still need her physical exercise but won’t require vigorous exercise. A simple walk, game of fetch, or playing outside will do.

**She is potty trained in her kennel so she may be house broken as well!**
