My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ollie Boy: The Dashing Doodle of Delight! Hey there, hoomans! I’m
Ollie Boy, a suave 2-year-old (and 1 month, but who`s counting?) Black
Border Collie, weighing in at a solid 25 lbs of pure pup-tential. I’ve been
strutting my stuff at the shelter since October 12, 2024, and let me tell
you, I’m *very* ready to find my forever home! I may be neutered, but I
still have plenty of charm to spare! With my shiny black coat and an
adorably unique white heart-shaped patch, I’m basically a walking
Valentine’s Day card. I’m a well-behaved goofball with a heart full of
affection. Social? Absolutely! I’ll wag my tail so hard, you might need to
reinforce the furniture! Perfect for families, singles, or anyone in need
of a furry best friend who believes in cuddles, adventures, and making
every day a tail-wagging good time! Let’s grab a leash and see where our
next adventure takes us—I promise to bring the smiles, laughter, and a
whole lot of love! Ready to adopt? Let’s make some paw-sitive memories
together!

More about this shelter

Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.

We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.

We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.

At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
