My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kubo!
Kubo is a 5-year-old, 18-pound mixed breed male who combines the energy of a Border Collie, the affection of a Cavalier, and the agility of a Papillon into one adorable, energetic package. He's a devoted companion who wants to be by your side all the time.

Kubo has lived with cats and other dogs, though he may initially try to keep them away in a new environment. With patience, clear communication, and some training, he quickly settles in and is easily redirected. Kubo was originally found as a stray and adopted, but after six weeks, he was sadly surrendered due to inconsistent potty training routines in the home. Despite this, Kubo has done incredibly well in his foster home with proper guidance-just staying outside with him ensures success!

He absolutely loves car rides, walks, and would thrive with a fenced yard to zoom around in. If you're looking for a loyal, playful buddy, Kubo might be the perfect fit for you!

Additional adoption info

In order to ensure a perfect match, we screen all adoption applicants. We require anyone wanting to adopt to complete an adoption application and we check personal and vet references. Final step before files goes to the Adoption Committee for review is to conduct a home visit with all members of the potential adoptive family. Fees for adoptions vary based on whether the dog's purebred, the age and health status of the dog. Contact us via email and we will send you our Adoption Application and tell you a little more about the dog you're interested in adopting!
