Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Skylar was found wandering the streets and brought to the San Diego Humane Society as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on October 19th to become a Frosted Face. Skylar is 12 years old and weighs 18 lbs. He is full of personality and lots of fun!
Skylar acts much younger than his years (we call that being a Frosted Faker!) He loves to go on walks and car rides. He easily jumps into the car on his own and settles in quickly to enjoy the ride. He gets along well with the other dogs in our littles play yard.
Skylar loves to snuggle and will find a lap to melt into. It doesn't matter if you're male or female, young or older, he's an equal opportunity lap dog!
Skylar is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn what he is like in a home. His Fling Mom shared this wonderful update:
"Skylar has been an easy addition to a house with three dogs, one cat, and a tween boy. He is a cuddle bug and really easygoing. He does well with all of my dogs and is totally respectful of my cat.
Skylar loves to eat and cleans his bowl as long as the food is soft. He had dental surgery three days ago and 5 teeth were removed. He used to wince and had stinky breath, but now he is doing great!
Skylar has a mix of energy levels. He is can run all over Fiesta Island with the other dogs, but he is mostly mellow in the house and doesn’t seek out play with the other dogs.
Skylar loves people. He’s happiest sitting or laying with, near or on someone, but he is good being left at home for up to 4-5 hours (that's the longest we’ve been gone.)
We can take Skylar into stores, and he completely behaves. He is good with every person he meets, male or female, all ages. Skylar is also good with dogs of all sizes.
Skylar has learned his name, comes when called, and knows SIT. He is learning PAW and STAY. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?"
Skylar is ready for his forever home! Might it be with you?
