Hello there, I'm Gomez. I'm a 6-month-old, little guy with a big personality! I have the cutest white socks you've ever seen and perfect tabby stripes. I have tons and tons of kitten energy and I'm always ready to run around and explore. I can be a bit nervous at first, but once I've warmed up to you, I demand pets and scratches. I would love an indoor home with a playmate and lots of toys. I seem to be fine with other
cats, but I haven't met any dogs since coming into foster care. If you're interested in meeting and adopting me, I will be available at PetSmart.

Prospective adopters with approved applications will be contacted to arrange a meeting.

Additional adoption info

Dogs and puppies are $150. Kittens and cats are $80. The adoption fee includes vet exam, first set of vaccines, microchipping, Feline Leukemia test for cats, Heartworm test for dogs. Also, includes rabies vaccine and spay/neuter at appropriate age. A completed and approved adoption application is required before meetings are arranged. The foster home is responsible for approving adoptions.

Prospective adopters with approved applications will be contacted by the foster homes to arrange meetings.

There is a also a county-run shelter, which is not formally associated with the HSOW, but we pull fosters from there and do all we can to promote adoptions:

The Humane Society of Wilkes is an independent, 501(c)(3), volunteer organization dedicated to reducing the number of homeless, unwanted, and neglected companion animals in Wilkes County, NC. We support pet owners and prospective owners with programs that promote adoption and spay/neuter and services that provide information and resources to the community.

The Humane Society of Wilkes also works closely with Wilkes County Animal Services and local veterinarians to help prevent suffering and improve the quality of life for animals in Wilkes County.
