My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Maryville, TN.
Hello, I'm Autry! My siblings and I found ourselves in a shelter in Georgia. There were 8 of us and the kind family of ACDRA rescued us all. My Sister Hadley and I ended up with a foster home in Tennessee. We have male and female siblings that we all get along with as well as kitties. We like kids too. I love my sister, but if my opportunity comes I am ok to move in with my furever family without her.

Hello, I am Autry's foster Mom. She is being fostered with her sister Hadley. They are adorable tiny girls at 26 lbs and 18 months old. They are both a little shy, but warm up well. They seem more nervous together, but more confident when I have alone time daily with each of them.
Autry is loving, dog and cat-friendly, as well as kid-friendly. She is working on potty training.
Autry does well in the home as well as outside in an outdoor kennel while I am at work. She is a low-key girl who is not your typical heeler, but once with a family, she might increase her energy level. She is perfect!!!! She is heartworm negative, spayed, UTD on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. She is being fostered in Maryville Tn where a meet and greet can be arranged. I will not recommend her to be put on transport. ACD-experienced family would be a plus!!! Feel free to contact me directly at  865-659-9894  or sabrinahuffstetler@gmail.com

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
