Patches was abandoned with his littermates in the back roads of SE Missouri. On the ground rescuers were able to secure 6 of the 8 pups that were seen roaming. Patches was one of those picked up immediately.

He is absolutely stunning in appearance, is filled with an abundance of affection towards people and loves to play and spend time with other dogs. He asks for pets and enjoys giving hugs.

He has lived at the care center with his littermate Trooper after Trooper was captured and brought in from the fields. They are best buddies and have blossomed together over the months while sheltered.

If you are looking for a friendly, outgoing companion, then Patches is your dog.

Patches is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on HW preventative.

How to adopt a dog from K9 Enrichment Initiative, Inc.

1. Complete our online application.
2. Your application will be processed, including a vet, reference, and criminal background checks. A telephone interview will be conducted as well as an in-home visit.
3. The dog will be introduced into your home for 14 to 21 days, allowing time for adjustment. At the end of that time, if the match is perfect, an adoption contract is signed.

We have a $500 donation fee for dogs under 1 year, $400 for dogs years 1 to 6 and $300 for dogs 7-10 and $200 10 years & older.

Applicants must be 21 years of age, be financially able to support the dog's everyday needs as well as medical expenses, be physically and mentally capable of caring for the dog.

Must have knowledge of the breed of dog they are adopting and of any breed restrictions in their cities, buildings, neighborhoods.
