Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sarah can be summed up in one word - sweetheart!!

This girl had a cruel previous owner who bitterly kicked her. A good neighbor saw it happen and took her in. She’s about 15 months old and weighs approximately 40 lbs. She looks to be a terrier mix.

Her foster says she is an absolute sweetheart who is good with small and large dogs and humans of all ages.
She does not like to be in a crate.
We can cat-test her if needed.
When she first arrived, she was very hyper, but now she has settled down and has become a mellow dog.
She is working on house training.
She is very loving, and when the foster comes to hug her, she cries from happiness.

She is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and is ready to come to NJ when adopted.

Her foster says she's an absolute sweetheart!!

Submit Application

Interview

We will contact your references and vet. Then a Virtual Home Visit (video call) is conducted.

3.
Approve Application

If approved, a Meet and Greet is scheduled or transport pickup is confirmed.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Adopter gets a new "Friend for Life" and a pup has been saved.

We strive to find the best fit for the adopter and the dog.
Dogs fostered in Texas arrive on transport and go home on arrival.
Dogs fostered in PA, NJ, and NY areas can have a meet and greet after potential adopters' applications are approved.

Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, volunteer-run, foster-based Rescue (no facility).

Our focus is to save the lives of dogs and puppies in high-kill shelters in the south and local owner surrenders.

Our mission is to place unwanted and in-danger animals in homes, regardless of age or breed. To educate the public and help stop animal cruelty and neglect.

We don't discriminate against potential adopters on any basis or for any reason. We approve potential adopters if they are and the animal they applied for is a good fit.

*If a dog is listed on Adopt a Pet, they are still available, and we accept applications. We approve applications on the best fit for both dog and family.
*We take our best guess on breed and size when fully grown.
* Our dogs are adopted from their foster home or straight from transport from kill shelters in the south.
