Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Delilah is about two years old and 52 lbs.
She sits on command.
She listens when she's told, "No jump".
Rolls over for belly rubs.
She does not have a mean bone in her body!!
Delilah, like all shepherds, is a strong girl.
She’s learning to heel when the foster walks her, but she will need some additional training.
We recommend no cats.
She will need a yard with a high-fenced yard. Preferably not chain link because she can climb.
She gets along with other dogs.
She loves water! She sits in her water during the hot summer when the temperature is over 110 degrees in the South.
She loves attention and would sit in your lap all day if she could.
The best home for Delilah will be:
With an owner who has experience with her breed!!
Because of her strength, we recommend children older than 13.
An active family would be best.
Backyard with a high-fenced (preferably not chain link).
Someone who wants the love of a sweet shep girl!!
Her background:
Delilah was left behind when her owners moved, and the landlord was going to send her to the shelter. She was pregnant, and there was no way we were going to let that happen because her chances to stay alive, as well as her puppies, were about zero.
Once Delilah was safe with a foster, she gave birth to nine beautiful puppies on January 8th. Unfortunately, only seven survived, and two are still waiting to get adopted.
She is ready to come to NJ when adopted.
