Eber is a happy-go-lucky, friendly young Chihuahua boy who weighs about 17 pounds. He is a well rounded fellow - people friendly, small dog friendly, and he did great (non reactive) when he met a cat and some larger dogs on leash.
Eber has not been intimidated by anything he’s had happen while in foster. He loves walks, and human affection and plays with toys. He did fine with his nail trim, tolerated the bathing. He even takes treats gently (if eagerly!) He is crate trained, and house trained!
In foster Eber is only confined to his crate if his foster mom is sleeping, or away from the house. Mostly she has to place him in his crate because he would rather be out of it…Sometimes he chooses to be in his crate on his own, especially if his mom hollers “No!” at another dog. Usually he seeks his crate on his own at night, and his foster mom just shuts the door. He is quiet in the crate & does not fuss at all once he is in. He comes out of his crate each morning wagging his tail so hard that it wags his whole body!
The most heartwarming thing about Eber is his happy attitude and friendliness to all. It’s also heartbreaking because Eber has a broken tail tip, and a rib that “sticks out a little funny”…almost certainly someone hurt him. Yet he is just the NICEST GUY, ever.
Eber is not a barker, but will let out a “woof” or two if the other dogs are all barking at something. He has some little quirks that are funny/cute. One of them is when he really wants to see something closer, and the person holding his leash doesn’t move that way, he will pogo jump straight up and give a little excited “yip”. Twice it was just a perfectly tall weed in the edge of the yard that he likes to pee on! He doesn’t pull much on the leash when this happens, so it’s cute-not annoying. He doesn’t pull HARD on the leash at any time, but he does pull some. He’s young and eager to see what’s around the next bend of the trail.
There are more endearing Eber stories, from his weeks in foster, but this bio is already getting long with all the good things to say about this dog.
Please! Someone GOOD and KIND?
