Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet adoptable RENZI! Renzi is a sweet, pleasant, 12 year old tripod cat who never said a bad word to anyone (she's so nice!). She's a pretty orange cat and is always sweet and friendly, never causing any trouble.
Renzi has a thyroid issue and needs to be medicated twice daily, and is very good about taking her medicine (when it's put in her food).
Renzi also has a kidney issue and has a special renal diet to accommodate this. Lastly, sweet Renzi is a special cat who has just three legs. She had lesions on her legs that kept coming back; rather than keep having surgeries to remove the lesions that kept coming back, the vet's recommendation was to amputate the leg entirely. Once this was done, the lesions never came back.
She can be in a house with other cats, and dogs. She has not lived with any children for quite some time (if at all), so we cannot speak to that, but we have no reason to think that she would respond poorly to them…because like we said, she is a total sweetheart!
Like all animals adopted from the ANIMAL ADOPTION VETERINARY CENTER & K9KASTLE, Miss Renzi comes with ONE YEAR TOTALLY FREE VETERINARY CARE for any illness, if one occurs in the first year, and FREE LIFETIME ANNUAL EXAMS at the LOW COST VET MOBILE.
Call us at (718) 544-PETS (7387) to set up a MEET ‘N GREET with RENZI !

More about this rescue
Companion Animal Network was founded by Garo Alexanian in 1989 out of a love for animals and out of frustration at the high euthansia rate of animals in the New York Metropolitan area. Since then Garo and Companion Animal Network have taken an active part in the animal rescue community by raising awareness both publically and politically and has rescued/adopted over 2000 animals.
In association with the Animal Care and Control of NYC and the Mayor's Alliance, Companion Animal Network created the "Safety Net" Program which assists pet owners with low-cost vet care, boarding, legal assistance and other solutions in helping owners keep their pets when faced with hardship situations.
