My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hellloooo! I'm Zeus and as you can see in my picture I am a handsome white husky mix! I was rescued by one of the kind deputies of Animal Control. He came into my yard after receiving a call about me. He found me tethered on a short lead with no food, water, or shelter. He decided that was not the kindest of situations for me, so he left a notice and took me to the shelter. My owner never came for me and now I am looking to find a great new home. I am about three years old. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. One little problem did show up on my health check up. I am heartworm positive. But I am not worried! The shelter already has me scheduled for my first treatment. Please come in for a visit with me! I would love to stay in your home while I am getting my treatment and then become a member of your family when I am finished! Say, that sounds like a plan to me!!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.

More about this shelter

The Montgomery Humane Society prevents cruelty to animals by operating an animal shelter for homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals; by operating an adoption center for healthy animals; by investigating cruelty and abuse cases; and by educating the public in animal owner responsibility.
