Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Handsome, adorable sweet-faced BRUNO has a pleasing and sunny disposition! When you look into his eyes and spend even a zeptosecond with him, your heart melts. So, forget the feeling of butterflies when you’re with him, it’ll feel like the whole zoo because his sweetness is s0 utterly intense. Bruno initially came to the rescue after his Momma had to move into a nursing home. He was the love-of-her-life, so his whole world rocked upside down.
Bruno is looking for a home a second time due to no fault of his own and regarding personal matters. He enjoys a good hot dog, pup-cup, trips to the dog park, walkies, and naps. (Boy, does he love naps!) He is currently residing with his foster family who wants only the best for him. Bruno loves being pampered by a groomer, but will gladly be bathed at home as well. He has a spot along the right side of his body that looks like an apple, and therefore he’s nicknamed the “apple of our eyes” and “iDog.” He is a happy-go-lucky character that wants nothing more than a great scratch and some snuggles.
Bruno is a treasured family member, and we can’t wait until his new forever family opens their arms wide open and welcomes him forever. Bruno is a 6-year-old Boxer/English Bulldog mix. (Please don't let his age fool you, he has much more rambunctious energy he's vested in making memories with you!)
Bruno will do best in a house without any small animals, as he very much likes to hunt. He does, however, get along very well with other dogs regardless of their size. He is especially good with children.
Six years oldNeutered, UTD vaccinations, microchipped, wormed.
Housetrained.

Welcome to LaMancha Animal Rescue located in Unionville, Pennsylvania. We are a privately funded 501c3 charity that was originally formed as an alternative to the slaughterhouse for ex-racehorses.
Many of these horses are perfectly sound, but simply too slow to continue racing. Some are injured, but can be healed to make suitable trail riding mounts, show horses, and three-day events.
Today LaMancha rescues and finds homes for not only horses but also dogs, cats, goats and the occasional exotic animal that requires more space or specialized knowledge than most SPCAs can offer.
LaMancha is a "no-kill" rescue. We currently have available for adoption many animals that are looking for a good home. Contact us to see if we have that special animal that you are looking for
LaMancha is the only federally recognized Karelian Bear Dog rescue.
Karelian Bear Dogs were originally bred in Russia and Finland to hunt bear. When Russia invaded Finland during World War II, many people killed their Karelian Bear Dogs so they would not be taken. They are considered a national treasure in Finland. They have been imported into this country recently, primarily to assist in eradicating nuisance bears from state and national parks.
Karelians are extremely intelligent, and very loyal. They make excellent companions and family dogs in the right environment. They must, however, have enough to keep them busy, and enough room to run. They are not a good choice for small yards or confined environments.
If you have any questions or comments, please e-mail us at lamancharescue@comcast.net.
