Hello there, my name is Mei Mei which means Little Sister. I am new to CAWS so I am just a bit shy and learning that indoors with other kitties is a fun place to be. I love toys and cuddling with other nice cats and kittens. I would do best in a home with a family who is home a lot, maybe with little kids who are respectful of my space, and adults who would provide me with cuddles and reassurance that I can be myself. I like toy fishies, treats, scratching posts, and taking naps in my hammock. My foster mom says I have a very sweet personality and have the potential to be a very gentle and loving house kitty. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
