My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Mei Mei which is Japanese for Little Sister. I was found as a kitten alone but was lucky enough to join a foster home with another calico girl too. She and I have become friends and would not mind being adopted together. Her name is Lulu. But if you already have a friendly kitty at your house, I would love to be their little sister too. I am quite shy but do not mind being picked up when I am ready. I will cuddle and purr when I feel safe. I do not mind dogs or other cats, but I would probably do better in a home without small children. They might be a bit too much for my sensitive nature. I love to watch Bird TV on YouTube and watch my humans play Nintendo Switch. I love the colors and the different sounds. I also love places to hide so tunnels and small cat homes or trees would be great for me to feel safe. I hope you will give me a chance at being your forever kitty. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
