Lilly is a pretty, 12-year-old tabby who came to HART via another rescue when her owners were no longer able to care for her. What we have learned about her is that she has a lovely purr, is very gentle, and likes the quiet life. She is often just hanging out on top of high perches or on a cat tree. She is not one that wants to be in the middle of the action.
Lilly is a diabetic. Currently, she is not on insulin but that can change. She does require regular monitoring f her blood sugar and needs to eat a low carb diet (we use Fancy Feast Classic Pate). We do require that her adopter have a well-established relationship with a veterinarian. HART's Medical Team will provide training in the care of a diabetic cat, along with a blood-glucose testing kit and related supplies as needed. And, thanks to a very generous supporter, we will also provide you with $100 in food. In order to make these preparations, she won't be able to go home on the same day that you meet her.
Lilly currently lives in a local foster home, not at the shelter. She is ready to meet you and move into your lap! Please submit an adoption application and our Adoption Team will contact you to arrange a time for you to meet Lilly.
