Meet Fancy! Fancy is a female fancy pigeon who is looking for a loving home where she will get to enjoy the pet life! Fancy was found as a 'stray', but Fancy is not a wild pigeon and must have been someone's pet who flew away and got lost. Fancy is very gentle and comfortable around people. I have no doubt that with some regular tender loving care she will be a really sweet bird!

If you've never had a pet pigeon before, check out the website for the pigeon rescue group Palomacy. They have a lot of good information about pigeons on their website and advice for caring for one.

Pigeons make wonderful pets and have very distinct, charismatic and sometimes downright opinionated personalities! They will make you laugh and smile every day with their antics and they can be incredibly affectionate and bond closely with their people

Fancy will make someone a really nice pet and I'd love to find her a good home where she can get more love and attention that she deserves.

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).
