Hi! I’m Domino. Like Mary Poppins, I am practically perfect in every way. I am incredibly people-friendly and very gentle.
I'm a terrier mix and my estimated birth date is September 2021. At less than 40 pounds, I am more like Goldilocks because I am a perfect size, not too big and not too small. I am awesome on a leash. I stick by my people and don't trash talk when I pass other dogs on the street.
Inside is my favorite place to be, so don't think I need to go with you to walk 10,000 steps every day. I have been known to plop down in protest when it’s too hot. I don't like rainy days (who does??) or walking in wet grass, so I am literally a fair weather outdoor friend, but I am a great friend and I give nice kisses.
I love a comfy dog bed and my favorite spot to sit is high up on a stack of blankets so that I am cozy and I can see all that is going on. My foster mom says that I am a power chewer, whatever that means. I say that if you are going to do something, do it all the way!
I am very treat-motivated and smart. Some of my favorite treats are cheddar cheese and peanut butter, but dog treats are cool too. I don't like all people food. Hard pass on bananas but I do love chicken.
I have been in foster care and have figured out that people aren't all scary. Many are comfy to sit with, they give me yummy food and treats and they make me so happy when they pet me that my tail wags with joy, once I am sure they are good people. Some people wear lots of sparkly things on their wrists which jingle. Those jingles make me a little scared.
I started out as a very underweight stray, but my foster people have lots of nice things to say about our time together. I now look totally awesome with a few more pounds and a few less visible bones.
Please come meet me at the Humane Society of York County. I would love to have an awesome furever family and I promise to be an awesome friend.
Love and licks, DominoIf you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment.
