Meet Shoppa! Her dad passed away suddenly with no family for this 14 year old sweetheart. We would really hope someone will open their heart and home to give this old timer a peaceful last few years with a loving heart! We will post more as we learn more about her! She was living with a 2 yr old dog, a puppy, and a cat, so she is good with dogs/cats!

We would love for you to meet one of our rescue dogs! As we are a foster-based rescue, we don't have a facility. You can make an appointment with us to meet a dog in Tahlequah, OK area. Please email us at waymaker@waymakerrescue.org if interested in meeting a specific dog.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to rescue abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs and to facilitate needed services of food, spay/neuter, medical care, and temporary housing. We partner with local veterinarians and fosters to provide these needed services while we work to find permanent, caring homes for each dog. In addition, we create public awareness on the importance of spay/neuter, medical, and nutritional care for pets in our local community.
