Crayford, born approximately 5/15/23, was adopted as a kitten (that's him now and also his baby photo) to an adopter who lived in Antioch but happened to be in Sacramento visiting friends. He was recently found in the field behind the shelter in Antioch crying at the fence. They finally took him in, scanned him, and contacted us. His owners did not respond to calls or emails. The shelter had to hold him for 2 weeks before they could let us take him. They said he was not doing well in a shelter environment (what cat does) so I went down as soon as the two-week hold was over and picked him up.
He is such a great boy!!! He is now about 1 year, 5 months young. He is a lap cat and sleeps next to me at night. I have other cats and he just wants to play with them. He will do well in a house with a cat he can play with. He would also be great with kids, and probably would adjust to a dog that was used to cats. He has been brought up to date on all his vaccines and he was tested, treated for fleas, and wormed. Nothing left to do but give this great boy his “forever home” where he will be cherished as he so should be. You can meet him at Petco this Saturday from 12-4.
Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays from noon to 4pm.

Our kitties are FeLV tested (negative), spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. However, since the majority of our kitties are rescued from local high-kill shelters or 'from the streets', their backgrounds are unknown and we cannot guarantee the temperament or any unforeseen health problems that may arise with rescued animals. Our kitties are housed in foster homes in Sacramento County, California. Potential adopters are selected through an adoption screening process. There is a nominal adoption fee that goes towards the care of the kitties.
