Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet sweet, gentle and smart, 5-month-old Holly. This delightful shepherd-husky mix beauty was one of six in a litter rescued in central Washington. Sadly, Holly is the last of the sibs to be adopted due to being diagnosed with a condition called Megaesophagus. While it does make her care a bit different, this condition is completely manageable and these pups live normal and healthy lives. Megaesophagus is managed with a special feeding regimen and a “Bailey” chair to help her sit up while eating. Holly is such an amazing dog and so loving that some extra time spent with her at mealtime is enjoyable too. Holly is doing super well in foster care and putting on weight. She currently weighs 24lbs but will be on the smaller side at 40-50lbs when full grown. Holly’s condition won’t stop her from living an otherwise normal, happy and active life. She is completely mobile, active and has no exercise or activity restrictions. Holly is super affectionate, loves people and other dogs and really digs her play toys. Her foster is working on basic commands and crate training and she is nearly house trained. She loves to be outside and enjoys the yard and is a great gardening helper! A good nap in her chair after a meal ranks pretty high on her list as well. Holly has not been introduced to cats yet so we don’t know about kitties for her. She has had some interactions with children at adoption events and is very sweet with them but would probably do best without toddlers. Older kids & teens who can understand her condition and won't try to feed her things she can't have would be best. Holly is currently in foster care in Wenatchee, but her rescue, Finding Finnegan, can arrange transport. Holly is spayed and vaccinated and ready for her forever home. For more information, an adoption application or meet and greet-please email Kate at kate@findingfinnegan.com. Please help us help Holly. She will be a terrific companion and make you proud and happy every day!

Additional adoption info
For our dogs, our process starts first with an adoption application. Our dog adoption application includes references, vet info, home photos and proof of home ownership or landlord contact. Our requirements vary per dog, but we look closely at activity level, yard, time away, previous pets, current pets etc.. During that time they may also have a home visit or long conversation (depending upon the situation of the dog, if warranted) with one of our professional trainers. We deliver the dogs with their quality food, treats, all vet records, training material, resources, etc. We encourage and often require additional training. We keep in communication with our fosters and adopters. We try to do the most to set everyone up to succeed. We are upfront about their commitment, training & responsibilities Adoption fees for our dogs and puppies range from $200 - $600 Great people are certainly out there for our dogs because we are having very good success. The cat adoption process is similar but not as involved. We have a shortened application process. At any time the animal can be returned to us if it doesn't work out. The adoption fees cover a portion of the expenses in spay/neuter, vet care, foster care and boarding for some dogs.

More about this rescue
We are a small group of animal lovers who couldn’t “click off” email pleas any longer . We just started saying YES to dogs in need. We are not breed specific, but do love our Pits and Pit mixes who are always the last in the shelters and first in our hearts. We have connected with great trainers, super adopters, the best transporters and people within the rescue community to build a strong network to help these animals. But we are “DOING IT” and “LOVING IT”. Unlike others, we just jumped in and later decided to talk about it!! Keeping our "heads in the sand" did not work for this group of amazing "can-do" women.
