My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I’m Rumor! So here`s my story. I was raised as a little baby with my brother, Rooster in a foster home (via a shelter) and was so happy and healthy. I got my vaccines and was fixed and was such a good kitty. I went up for adoption in the shelter .... where I got ringworm. Just a tiny skin infection that takes about a month to clear. But the shelter didn`t have the capacity to hold me, so they scheduled me for euthanasia that day. All for a little skin infection. Luckily Smittens pulled me and my brother at the 11th hour! Now we`re ringworm-free, and if possible even MORE purry and loving. I pretty much never stop purring when people are around. I’m also very social and cuddly! I love other cats, especially my brother! I’m young and still quite playful and will pounce on toys across the room. When I’m done playing I will come head butt you for attention and pets. I am looking forward to finding my forever home!

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
