My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Betty!

Betty, who’s full name is “Black Betty Bambalam" while in the shelter, is a very sweet girl. She also answers to "Ollie", according to the previous owner. She is a runner, and will need a fenced in yard that she cannot easily dig out of. The previous owner said she never tried to jump a fence, but she loves to run free and will dig out if she can.

Betty knows a couple of commands already, such as “Sit”, and “Down”, and is very treat motivated. She is always very gentle when taking treats from humans, and we think she’d do great in a house with a family and kids. She does ok on a leash, but could definitely benefit from more training in that area. She is so happy just to hang out with people and get love, she’s a real people-pleaser! Our shelter staff has quickly fallen in love with her!

Betty is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all of her vaccinations, and tested negative for heartworm. She seems to get along with other dogs, and isn’t really interested in cats.
