My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sam, an enchanting 3-month-old Labrador mix with a backstory as intriguing as a Supernatural episode! Rescued as a stray by A&B Rental, we may not know his origins, but what we do know is that he's ready to become the loyal companion you've been searching for.

Sam embodies the spirit of adventure. With his bright eyes and wagging tail, he's always eager to explore the world around him. This sweet boy has a knack for capturing hearts, and he thrives on attention-much like Sam Winchester, who always stands up for family and friends. Whether it's playtime in the yard or curling up on the couch for a movie marathon, he's your perfect sidekick.

Despite his young age, Sam is wise beyond his months. He shows signs of intelligence and curiosity, making him a quick learner. He loves to engage in interactive play and would benefit from training sessions that challenge his mind and reinforce his bond with you.

Sam's affectionate nature means he's all about the cuddles and belly rubs, too. He'll be your furry comfort on the darkest nights, always there to lift your spirits after a long day, just like the Winchester brothers support each other through thick and thin.

If you're ready to welcome this lovable pup into your life and embark on a new adventure together, come meet Sam! He's waiting to join your family and create your own supernatural tales of love, loyalty, and unforgettable moments

More about this shelter

Dogwood Animal Shelter is a non-profit, no-kill shelter.

Since its infancy, compassionate, like-minded volunteers have been the driving force behind Dogwood Animal Shelter. Through auctions and sales, a handful of dedicated people raised enough money to build its first, albeit small facility and was established as a 501(c) 3 in 1976. It was filled beyond capacity almost immediately.

The shelter is funded entirely from donations and proceeds from their Dogwood Animal Shelter Thrift Store.

After years of saving, planning and busting at the seams with fur-babies, in 2005 it was time to build a new facility with their own in-house clinic! Under the direction of Dr. John Reinhold and coupled with a very dedicated and gifted team of Veterinarians and staff, Dogwood Animal Shelter continues to offer low cost spays and neuters to the public as well as services to their shelter buddies; services to approximately 2,000 dogs and cats yearly!

Dogwood Animal Shelter began their journey of being a successful no-kill shelter in 1997, and since then has saved over 40,000 lives!
