My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dietrich is a domestic shorthair that was brought to us in October 2024 after being abandoned by his original owner.
We noticed pretty quick that this little one had quite the unique ear! His left ear is bent but it doesn't bother this little guy and he rocks the look rather well! Dietrich is such a sweet and outgoing little guy who loves nothing more than to play and have fun with his owner! On his downtime, he is a huge cuddle bug and loves to curl up right next to you! He would do amazing with any active family and also loves other kitty friends but will need a very slow introduction to whatever resident pet he will be meeting to ensure that they get a chance to adjust to each other confidently.

If you are interested in meeting Dietrich, please submit an application at www.valleyanimal.org

At Valley Animal Center our mission is to unite dogs and cats with loving people.

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.

We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.

Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
