Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Stephen, a 8 month old mixed breed with a heart as big as his personality. He's sweet, friendly, and curious - always ready to explore new toys or make new friends. Stephen loves to play and learn, his curiosity shining through in his eagerness to discover the world around him. He's quick to wag his tail in delight when he meets new people, and he's always ready to offer a comforting presence when you need it. Stephen's friendly nature and boundless curiosity make him a wonderful companion. Adopting Stephen means opening your home to a bundle of joy and love, ready to make every day brighter with his sweet, friendly nature.
Stephen will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how he will do with cats.
Stephen is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today.

West Valley Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter in Southern Idaho. Serving all of Canyon County, and surrounding areas. We take in the stray, surrendered, abandoned, neglected animals in our community. In 2017, we took in 7,778 animals. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance.
We contract with the cities of Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon County to house stray and owner surrender animals that their ACO's, or the general public, bring to us.
