Ernie is a sweet and loving 9 month old Black Mouth Cur mix. He was found with wandering his little buddy Bert wandering by a good person who brought him to Castoff Pet Rescue.
Ernie is in a foster home with other dogs, where he loves to play and have fun. He is so loving to everyone he meets and is so happy go lucky. He is such a joy and he loves other dogs and people! We think he would be good with cats but he hasn't been cat tested.
He is fully vetted and when he gains some weight which he needs, he will be around 40 pounds.
While we would love to keep him with Bert because they really love each other and truly look out for each other, we know that may not be possible. We will consider splitting them.
They are both wonderful dogs and would be perfect in any type of home due to their amazing demeanor!!

More about this rescue
The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
