Meet Josie: The Sweetest, Goofiest Lap Dog Who’s Ready to Be Pampered!
Say hello to Josie, a 5-year-old pitbull mix who is as affectionate as she is goofy! Despite her tough past, Josie has a heart full of love and is ready to share it with a forever family.
Josie is a true cuddle bug—she loves nothing more than climbing into your lap and nuzzling her face into yours for extra snuggles. She’s playful with toys but is generally low-energy and perfectly content lounging by your side. Whether you’re watching TV or reading, Josie will happily keep you company.
Josie has had a rough start. It's clear she was used for breeding, but her days of being a momma are over. She’s looking forward to being the baby in someone else’s life, where she can be the one receiving all the love and care she’s missed out on.
Physically, Josie’s legs are slightly deformed and angled, which doesn’t slow her down now, but may lead to arthritis or mobility challenges as she ages. There’s no immediate treatment needed, but her adopter should be aware of this as she gets older. Despite everything she’s been through, Josie remains nothing but sweet, goofy, and resilient.
Currently, Josie is also recovering from being severely underweight. She’s on her way to gaining back the pounds she needs, and until she reaches a healthy weight, she needs 3 meals a day. It’s best for her to eat in a crate to avoid distractions, but with patience and care, Josie will soon be back to her healthy self.
And when it comes to getting along with others, Josie is an absolute star! She’s dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and even does great with backyard chickens! She’s truly an all-around gentle soul who’s nothing but love and joy, just waiting for the right family to make her their own.
If you’re looking for a laid-back, affectionate, and playful companion who’s been through a lot and is ready to be spoiled, Josie is your girl. Apply to adopt her today and make this goofy cuddle bug the baby she’s always deserved to be.

Go meet their pets

We do not have a facility but depend on the use of foster homes to provide loving temporary homes for the dogs we save. You can meet each pet through it's contact information on it's posting.

More about this rescue

We are a group of animal lovers banded together to rescue unwanted dogs and cats that are in shelters and pounds located throughout Idaho. Our non-profit rescue places each animal into our foster home program while we search for forever homes for them. We supply all vet care, food, toys, bedding; really anything they need while in our care.

We focus on those animals that are considered “hard to adopt” for various reasons; like kennel stress, having a black coat, being over 8 years old, etc. Often a foster home rather than a shelter environment helps give many of these animals a second chance at the life they deserve!

We relay on community donations and individuals willing to be foster care givers in order to continue our work.
