Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Casper is very shy at first, the first few days we had him in foster care he did nothing but hide under the bed. Once he got comfortable he came out and slowly warmed up to us. He’s been the sweetest pie ever since. He loves being pet and gives tons of head bumps! He’s quite chatty but not loud, he just likes to have conversations with you when you’re home. He is a slowly but surely kind of guy, he is a bit slow to warm up to you but once he does he will make you his whole world.
He loves his scratching posts!!! Please make sure you have multiple surfaces he can use to scratch and rub up against. He loves to rub his face on you and sometimes will give a little play bite when he’s overly excited. He does get the midnight zoomies and will always leave you a little toy at the end of your bed when you wake up in the morning. He loves to talk to you while you’re walking around and enjoys when you meow back! Loves playing with hair ties, will keep him occupied for hours! Also lowkey knows how to sit when you hold a treat to him and say “sit!”
Casper was found in an apartment after the owner had sadly passed away. He was with 3 other cats, but they weren’t bonded. TCR’s priority was to get Casper out of the shelter because he was so stressed out. He’s good with other cats and would work well in a house with another friend!
Some quick Casper notes:
-Recent dental work, loves wet food and dry food!
-Scratching posts!!! (He will scratch at the couch or anything he can get his paws on)
-Occasionally jumps up on high surfaces
-Will poop on the floor if he’s mad about something!
Capser is a big “sit beside you” kinda cat rather than a lay right on top of you, but is super cozy and loves cuddles. Not a huge fan of being picked up though, you can hold him for maybe 15 seconds but that’s about it!
This handsome kitty is okay with being alone for a while! Give this baby lots of love and attention, he loves to play with toys, anything that keeps him active!

Additional adoption info
Adoption fee is $200 per adult cat, and $250 for kittens (under 8 months old).
This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $200.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $150 per cat vs. $200 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
