My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the newest members of the Murci's Mission family, Soot, Ash, Nimbus, Scorch and Cricket. These sweet babies came to the Mission from a cat hoarding situation and have thrived in foster care.

Nimbus is ncredibly goofy and loves to play. He is the biggest of the group. He loves to follow you wherever you go and absolutely loves pets.

Scorch is the rogue one of the group. She comes to you when she wants to play. She and Nimbus are good pals. She is very independent.

Ash is very playful and thinks she’s a big cat. She absolutely melts with cuddles and will cling to you like velcro. She loves to play chase. She has a little kink in her tail that gives her extra personality.

Soot is always the first to greet her foster parents. She loves to just sit on a lap or shoulder and observe all that is going on around her. She has a brown hue to her fur which is very soft and she has big bear paws.

Cricket is the instigator. He loves to play and loves to wrestle. He's very curious and always trying to examine and understand anything he encounters. He's a special little kitty who has a very unique tail and cool markings.

They will be spayed/neutered on 11/12 and can go to their homes after their surgery. They are dewormed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. The adoption fee for the kittens is $100 for one, or the same price if you adopt a pair.

Adopters in the Spokane area can expect to meet the pet during the homecheck. Others will arrange a meet and greet.

To apply to adopt one of our available animals or for any other inquiries, email information@murcismission.org or message us here!

Once your application has been received, we will evaluate it as a potential match for the given animal and, if your application is selected, we will proceed to call your references and then conclude with a home check and meet and greet scheduled by you at your home. For applicants out of area, the home check may be conducted via video call before the meet and greet.

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
