My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Piper - A Sweet Senior Looking for Her Forever Lap!

Piper is a 12-year-old Dachshund dog who is ready to spend her golden years in a cozy, loving home.

About Piper:

Dog & cat friendly, but doesn't need other pets
Loves to snuggle and burrow - her favorite activities!

Piper is also managing a skin condition that's improving, so her new family will need to keep an eye on it. She is a senior girl, so the occasional accident may happen too. She doesn't require much-just a calm, quiet household where she can be loved and held.

Ideal Home:
Piper would thrive in a relaxed environment with someone who enjoys cuddling and giving her lots of attention. She's the perfect companion if you're looking for a sweet, low-energy dog who just wants to be close to you.

Piper is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200 and she is in Tampa.

If you've got a lap and some love to give, Piper will fill your heart with warmth!

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
