Murdock is a quiet, shy three-year-old who's still finding his confidence. He's a big-hearted guy who takes a little time to warm up, but once he does, he loves being around people. Murdock is a dream to walk, staying calm on the leash and keeping right by your side.
Though he's a bit timid and startles easily, he's shown he has a playful side when he feels comfortable. Murdock would be happiest in a calm home with adults or older children who can give him the patience and kindness he deserves. Ready to help this sweet guy settle in? Come meet Murdock!
If you are interested in adopting, please visit the shelter during adoption hours. Be sure to let the front desk know the name of the dog you are interested in visiting. Once you have met with the dog and an application has been approved, we will then ask to complete a meet and greets with any dog(s) that are currently living in the home or visit frequently.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 12pm-5:30pm
Thursday: 2pm-6:30pm
Saturday & Sunday: 12pm-4:30pm

An average of 500 pets arrive at the HSSC each month. About 80% come to us as strays and the rest are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep or care for their pets.
