My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello Hello! My name is Rusty and I am a 2 year old 17 lb Havanese/Lhasa Apso mix boy in search of my forever home. When the girls at FCCR tok me in I was a hot mess---I had a H.U.G.E umbilical hernia ( that has now been repaired so I'm all good!) and I was matted and dirty....but look at me now...I'm a handsome cuddle bug LOL. Foster mommy says I am an EXCEPTIONALLY sweet boy who loves to be petted ( ears and neck are my favorite areas), loves to play with balls and stuffies, and I have the most beautiful soulful eyes that everyone falls in love with. I also have excellent house manners and not much of a barker. I get along well with other dogs but I don't like to share my food and treats so I am fine being an only dog as well if you are not going to separate me at meal/treat times. Foster mommy says I am a gentle and loving special guy looking for the right home to call my own ---and she is right on all counts. If you would like to make me part of your family please fill out an application at www.floridacockerrescue.org ADOPTION FEE: $365.00

More about this rescue

Florida Coastal Cocker Rescue (FCCR) is a non-profit organization located in SW Florida. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing Cocker Spaniels throughout the state of Florida and neighboring states. We rely 100% on donations and volunteers to help us take care of our dogs. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and rabies, heartworm tested, flea and heartworm treatment, and microchip.

FCCR carefully screens all of our potential furever and foster homes to ensure that our pups will have safe and loving homes. Some of our dogs come from shelters and abusive situations and we want to make sure that they will only see love the rest of their lives.
