My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miss Lana

Sweet Lana is the identical twin sister to our Lucy. They came to us a few months ago in a group of standard poodle moms surrendered by a breeder. Lana has had a unique time with us in that she feels most comfortable in a very specific home - one identical to her foster home.

She needs someone who works from home or is retired and home a lot, a fenced yard and prefers calm Standard Poodles as housemates. She thrives in a quiet environment, where she can relax and feel comfortable. She is with a single woman and two male dogs now, but has previously lived with all female poodles and only men and has shown to really love men.

Lana is honestly a dream dog once she settles in. She is very chill, prefers to hang on the couch, likes the occasional slow walk and can't wait for her next meal. She loves sleeping in bed with her human, but will also go to her crate to nap. She's a phenomenal, easy dog in her perfect calm environment.

Lana is 44lbs, 8 years old, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and has had a dental cleaning, bloodwork, fecal tests, you name it! Her adoption fee is $300 and she is located in Safety Harbor/Clearwater.

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
