My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Salvador aka Sal!

He is part of our Famous Artists Litter, who was born July 29, 2024 while in foster care. He is, what we like to call, a true Detroit Special. We know that he is a pitbull mix, but also suspect Rottie.

Sal is a playful, intelligent puppy who is full of energy and life. He loves to explore, meet new people and dogs, and could romp around with canine friends all day. He enjoys going for walks, playing, and going on adventures with anyone who is willing. Sal does enjoy human affection after a long, exhausting day.

He is very treat-motivated, which makes him highly trainable and eager to learn. Sal is making great progress with outdoor potty training and crate training. He does well on a leash and walks confidently. Sal is learning basic commands and already knows his name, "sit", and "go in your crate". He also sleeps soundly through the night.

Salvador is kid and dog friendly, and we believe he will do well with cats due to his young age. He will do best with children who are older, as well as a dog who is larger than he is. His ideal home is one with an active, upbeat family who will keep him busy and engaged while also giving him all the human attention.

Applicants MUST have an adult dog in the home! When applying, you are applying to meet ALL puppies in the litter, not just one specific puppy. Your adult dog will accompany you during the meet and greet, and will help select the best match based on who gravitates toward you and your dog. Adoptions are based on connection and chemistry.

Adoption is $325 and includes spay/neuter at our vet when age appropriate, vaccines to date of adoption, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health.
