Cinnabon ACCT-A-178586 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to length of stay and lack of space for incoming dogs. Cinnabon must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER or ADOPTER by Wednesday, November 6th at 10 A.M. Should Cinnabon's medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change.
Cinnabon, a lovable male dog, arrived at the shelter on 10/17/24 after being picked up as a stray in someone's yard by an animal protection officer. Named for his sweet nature, Cinnabon (or "Cinnamon Bun") is a friendly, playful pup with an irresistible love for squeaky toys and dog treats. Despite missing some skin and fur on his back when he arrived, he quickly won the hearts of staff and volunteers with his gentle, fun-loving spirit.
When it comes to meeting other dogs, Cinnabon has shown great manners, making him a promising candidate for a household. Volunteers adore him, noting how easy he is to leash up and how he patiently waits at the kennel front. Outside, he's a total delight, enjoying fetch and dropping the ball right at your feet on command. This tennis ball-loving boy takes treats gently and follows commands, even showing off a perfect "sit in exchange for treats. Though occasionally snatchy with treats and prone to munching on anything treat-sized (like rocks), Cinnabon is a joy to handle, always loose and wiggly.
Inside his kennel, Cinnabon can be a bit reserved but is quick to warm up, becoming more approachable with some encouragement. He pulls moderately on the leash and is quite affectionate, leaning his whole body in for cuddles and bulldozing into people for attention. His playful, goofy side shines when he's outside, showering handlers with face kisses and showing his love for ball-shaped toys. Cinnabon is available for adoption or rescue-eager to bring his special brand of sweetness and silliness to a loving home.

Per volunteer 10/19/24: Meet Cinnabon, who is just as sweet as his name suggests! Cinnabon is a playful, easy going guy who loves a squeaky toy and loves a hot dog treat. He was found as a stray in a random yard, missing skin and fur on his back. Since getting to the shelter he has won the hearts of volunteers and staff alike!
Per volunteer 10/19/24:
Oh my God, love this boy!!! Super easy for leashing, he was patiently waiting for me at the front of the kennel when I approached. He walks pretty well with just some minimal pulling. He's such a blast outside! He loves playing fetch and loves tennis balls- he will always bring them back. When I said "drop he would drop the ball right in front of me and wouldn't guard it when I went to pick it up again. Takes treats super gently- loves them! Treat motivated. Really easy to handle overall- Very nice and wiggly the whole time we were out. He went up and over the A-frame following the treats and showed me that he knows sit. No issues returning!
Per staff 10/18/24:
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Cinnabon was laying on his bed and looked up with neutral semi hard eyes and didn't want to come forward. The handler tossed the leas for him to sniff. He came up and did some mid level with softer eyes and was very patient for leashing and came right out once secured.
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls moderately
HANDLING:
Cinnamon came outside for his eval very wiggly and loose and wanted to greet everyone. He wants to cuddle and play with everyone and needs everyone to know his presence. He will bulldoze his body into you and become adamant about receiving love and body rubs. He is a very sweet and goofy boy. He knows how to sit but is a bit stubborn and did not want to sit for a treat. He takes treats a bit snatchy and will eat anything treat shaped... like rocks.
PLAY
Very playful and goofy and will start giving kisses and mouthing at face.
TOYS:
