My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poker is such a cutie and he looks like a little cow with his large black spots! Poker is a 3 yr old neutered male Rat Terrier weighing 15 lbs. He is good with other dogs, cats, small critters and loves people. As a typical small dog, he loves to be a constant companion and enjoys sleeping buried under the covers in bed with his humans. This little guy was adopted from a shelter 9 months ago and then re-homed 3 times! The last owner admitted to tying him to a park bench and abandoning him. Poker was next in line to be admitted to the Brooklyn AC&C when our volunteer walked in. There was no way this little guy could enter the shelter, so we took him into foster care. Poker has not been traumatized by his ordeal and is a well socialized dog with the potential to be a therapy dog.
