My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Magenta, the ultimate sweetheart!

Magenta is a gentle and easygoing cat with a heart of gold. She not only raised her own four kittens with love and care, but she also adopted and nurtured two orphaned kittens as if they were her own. Her nurturing nature shines through in everything she does-Magenta is always attentive, affectionate, and ready to offer comfort.

Now that her motherly duties are complete, it's her turn to be pampered in a home that treats her like the princess she truly is! Magenta is cat-friendly, spayed, and fully ready to find her forever family. If you're looking for a loving and calm companion, Magenta is the perfect fit!

More about this rescue

Our History
The Hero Rescue launched in 2019 with a group of experienced and dedicated fosters. We combined all of our experiences to visualize the mission and operation of The Hero Rescue. We are dedicated to the animals we serve, to the families we impact, and to respect for each other. We are a 501c3 tax exempt non-profit organization.

Our Mission
The Hero Rescue is formed by a network of volunteers and fosters committed to saving lives of animals at risk of euthanasia, abuse, and neglect. By relocating animals from over crowded shelters to Maryland for adequate veterinary care, castration, emotional rehabilitation and eventually adoption, we will make a difference in the lives of animals as well as in the local communities we serve .
