If only Twiggy could tell us her story… When she first came into rescue, she weighed less than 5 pounds and appeared to be an old, fragile soul. But as we took a closer look, we realized she was actually quite young — just a victim of heartbreaking neglect. Her tiny frame had been ravaged by fleas, and it was clear she had been starved for far too long. Now, Twiggy’s transformation is nothing short of miraculous. She has gained almost 3 pounds, and with it, her personality has blossomed. She is no longer the timid girl we first met; she is now a sweet and affectionate companion, always eager for pets and ready to curl up in your lap, purring contently. While she is okay with other cats, Twiggy would truly thrive in a home with just a few fur babies, where she can steal the spotlight and soak up all the love she craves. All current pets must be fixed and up-to-date on vaccines.

Tiggy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and has been treated for parasites. Her adoption fee is $125. Do you have the purrfect home for this deserving kitty?

Interview

If your application is approved, one of our board members will contact you for a phone interview.

3.
Meet the Pet

During your phone interview, we will work on setting up a date/time for you to meet your new family member at the Petsmart in Troy.

Additional adoption info

* We do require adopters to be at least 21 years old.
* If you are leasing, we do ask that you provide a copy of your rental agreement showing that cats are allowed.
* We also ask that all adults living in the home agree with the adoption and addition of a feline friend to the family.
* For families with young children (under 6), kittens over 6 months are best.
* If the pet is to be alone for a significant amount of time, we ask that you consider adopting an older kitten or adult, or consider adopting two kittens to keep each other company. Young kittens are susceptible to social-depression if alone for a significant amount of time.
* We also discourage "gift" adoptions unless it is from a parent to a minor child.

Our adoption fee of $100 (cash/check) includes feline leukemia/FIV testing, deworming, flea preventative, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines. All Tigerlily cats are thoroughly examined by a veterinarian. All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered prior to being available for adoption.
