Meet Cici!
Cici is an adorable already full grown (30lbs) mutt. What breed is she? we do not know!
Adopters can do a DNA test if they like she is just a baja mutt which means likely many different breeds in her. She looks like a Belgian or shepherd but in a very petite stature. We think she has a small and large breed genetic both from her looks and personality. We have had Cici for a while, she is definetely our underdog. Fostered at casa de ARWOB which means she is excellent with dogs and cats of all personalities. She is a great dog park dog but can be intimidated by some dogs personalities who come at her space too fast, too hard. She was very shy when she first arrived our care as a young pup for lack of socialization around humans but being with us for several months has allowed her to open up.
She is fantastic with the humans she knows, however, don't expect her to show interest with strangers, its a hit or miss IF she will approach and seek some petting then again she is a foodie so anyone with food, she will absolutely make eye contact and request you to share with her.
We would love to find a foster for her who has more humans in the home or a human who is looking for a dog to take out and about to many outting to expose her to more humans. She is a perfect dog park dog, she is not a bolter or trying to run away as a matter of fact at home she can come and go off leash to and from the car as she wants to follow her foster around. At the dog park she is not keen on approaching the other dog parents to say hi and probably will walk away when called. She does have some trust issues around new people but any human she knows has her absolute trust. She is crate trained and potty trained, however, she is still very much a young dog SO, we don't trust her completely with chewing shenanigans. She will get into things hence the crate is her friend when not being supervised. She is not a big barker will only bark if she needs to alarm at something. She is pretty agile and her play tendencies can show some sort of small breed active terrier or shepherd. She is simply adorable when she runs and jumps around like a deer. She is a total puppy play and starts pawing at something which is adorable.
She is a perfect dirving copilot as she enjoys having her head hanging out the window enjoying the breeze. Cici is a smart dog and learned sit fast as well as sitting for her leash.
We recommend anyone interested in Cici requests a foster to adopt trial for a couple of weeks before adopting her to make sure her personality is the right match.
If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE IN THE MILITARY please fill out a short questionnaire in addition to the adoption application.
